Simple calculation method for outdoor air specific enthalpy in Shanghai

Analyses the data of the typical meteorological year in Shanghai. Finds that the outdoor air specific enthalpy can be calculated only by the outdoor air dry-bulb temperature. The four order polynomial function of the temperature is obtained by curve-fitting method. Discusses the concentration degree of the typical meteorological year data, and verifies the data with two kinds of real-time data. The results show that the simple method can be applied to calculate outdoor air specific enthalpy, and the standard deviation is less than 8 kJ/kg. Analyses the energy-saving potential of free cooling with the outdoor air using this simple calculation method. Proposes that other areas can adopt the function of this area or a representative area to make simple calculation.
